Beijing, China, 24 October, 2008—Digital Knowledge World Co., Ltd. successfully closed its new round of financing from a prestigious global investor. The deal marked the largest private investment transaction in China domestic children education market to date with China Renaissance acting as the exclusive financial advisor to the Company. As the fourth deal completed in education sector, China Renaissances leading position and expertise in the sector are acknowledged once again by both investor and entrepreneur.
Founded in March 2004, Digital Knowledge World partners with Tsinghua University, assuming their social responsibility of providing high quality education to serve the public. By leveraging Tsinghua Universitys educational resources, teaching experiences and R&D capabilities, Digital Knowledge World has successively launched Tsinghua Childrens English Program, Tsinghua Childrens Science Program and Tsinghua Childrens Maths Program, and has been promoting those programs nationwide as the exclusive authorized service provider. In only 4 years the Company has established nearly 600 authorized service centers with thousands of learning centers in over 30 provinces throughout China. The total number of student enrollment reached several hundred thousand, and is still growing steadily.
